Locksmiths specialize in producing keys for all applications, from commercial to automotive and in nearly all cases, produce a far better quality key that will work better with the lock it is specifically cut for.
Locksmiths use specially engineered equipment that requires specialized training, allowing a locksmith to produce an extremely high quality key. Dealerships do not use this type of equipment, nor do they provide the level of specialized training to their auto technicians in the science of key production and lock servicing.
